Cookie and Privacy Policy – Privacy Statement
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) concerns the management and security of European citizens’ personal data. Since May 2018, organisations must be able to demonstrate which personal data they collect, how they use it and how they protect it. We keep the data we collect through the website (Premium Membership card, a response via an email form, etc.) to the minimum necessary, solely to provide you with the service offered or the benefit promised. Your data is not shared with other organisations.
Right to access, correct or delete your data
You have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your data. Please see our contact page. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to provide appropriate proof of identity. If your request concerns access to personal data linked to a cookie, you must include a copy of that cookie. You can find it in your browser settings.
What is a cookie?
We use cookies on this website. A cookie is a small, simple file sent with pages of this website and stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. The information stored in it may be sent back to our servers on a subsequent visit. You can find more information about enabling, disabling and deleting cookies in your browser instructions and/or Help function.
Use of persistent cookies
A persistent cookie allows us to recognise you when you return to our website. The website can then be tailored to your preferences. We can also use a cookie to remember that you have consented to cookies being placed. This saves you from repeatedly entering your preferences, saving time and making our website more pleasant to use. You can delete persistent cookies through your browser settings.
Google Analytics
Our website places a cookie from the American company Google as part of its Analytics service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if legally required to do so, or where third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no control over this. We have not allowed Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services.
The information collected by Google is anonymised as far as possible. Your IP address is specifically not included. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google states that it complies with the Privacy Shield principles and participates in the US Department of Commerce’s Privacy Shield programme. This means that there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.
Facebook and Twitter buttons
Our website includes buttons to promote ("like") or share ("tweet") web pages on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. These buttons use snippets of code supplied by Facebook and Twitter respectively. This code places cookies. We have no control over this. Please read the privacy statements of Facebook and Twitter (which may change regularly) to learn what they do with the personal data they process through these cookies.
The information they collect is anonymised as far as possible. It is transferred to and stored by Twitter, Facebook, Google + and LinkedIn on servers in the United States. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google + state that they comply with the Privacy Shield principles and participate in the US Department of Commerce’s Privacy Shield programme. This means that there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.
